Luthier
Martin Cole

First designed by C.F.Martin & Co. in the 1930's, this guitar has been the instrument for flat pickers for half a century. The tone will vary according to tonewoods chosen but the most popular combination is rosewood for the back & sides with a spruce soundboard.

Pictured here is a left-handed version with herringbone and mother of pearl inlays.

As all of my instruments are custom made, I do not charge any extra to produce left-handed instruments.

Maximum recommended string gauge 13 - 56
