This is a guitar-shaped octave mandola - hence the name. Being guitar-shaped, it is easier to hold when seated than the traditional pear-shaped body. It is made using my tenor guitar body design. This one is a rosewood/spruce combination with a mahogany neck and figured sycamore bindings.
